Cantoria Praha is preparing for the 64th year of the rated adult choral singing show. On behalf of and with the financial contribution of the Ministry of Culture and under the auspices of the Minister of Culture Martin Baxa, the NIPOS-ARTAMA show is organized by Chrudimská beseda, the municipal cultural center, and Kampanila Mikulov, z. s..
We have already participated in the show once in 2021, in the non-competitive category. That time we took home an award for the performance of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s composition “Bez Pori, Da Bez Vremeni”. Now we are going to compete in category C, i.e. choirs with 25 members or more.
Our program must include a composition with Czech lyrics, an adaptation of a folk song and compositions of your own choice so that they fill the performance of approximately 15 minutes. (Maximum 18 minutes including arrival and departure). Another condition is that at least one of the selected songs must be a cappella. We are already carefully rehearsing our repertoire for the competition and we are very much looking forward to the opportunity to sing in the attractive environment of Chrudimská beseda. At the end of the whole event, we will also participate in the Studio of joint compositions.
Choralia Chrudim 2023 aims to be an open platform for all adult choirs that want to improve their level in the competitive and/or non-competitive (festival) category. The open show offers the possibility to improve under the guidance of top judges and a teacher of joint singing.
